Because it’s the last week of football or maybe because Chip is 27 and 37 on the season, this winners row has Chip giving a pick on every game this week. Will this redeem Chip’s Picks? You will soon know the answer to that. (more…)
It’s been a busy few weeks for me, with the holiday season upon us, plus I was in Cleveland last week to take in the Cincinnati Bengals vs the Cleveland Browns. What a great time; the city of Cleveland was awesome, with some great food and wonderful fans. I want to give a special shout out to some local Clevelanders, Eric and George who I met during my travels there. These two are faithful Cleveland fans, regardless the sport, and I am a Detroit fan. We had some great conversations about the way our two teams performed this year and shared some good grub and drink.
I hope everyone had a safe and joyous holiday. Please give a listen to our show and give a call if you can, we’d like to talk with you.

Well I guess you can’t really call it that. But it is the first time the Wings have played the penguins since the Stanley Cup. This time the outcome was not so pleasant because, in overtime the team from Pittsburgh scored the game winner. Too bad they couldn’t re-claim the cup with this one win, but fortunately it doesn’t work like that, as it’s still ours to keep and it’s only one game. Even though the Wings didn’t put this one in the win column I still had a fantastic time at the ‘Joe’. After leaving the locker room we ran into “Mr. Hockey”, Gordie Howe, who spoke with us as we walked down the corridor. Before the game, in the media room, we talked with Steve Yzerman, said a pleasant hello to Micky Reddman and got some help from veteran sports reporter Jennifer Hammond who hails from Fox 2 News.
Once again it was another great night at the Joe for Hockey.
