Well, here we are down in Florida where the weather is a cool 54 degrees, but who cares about temperatures when there’s Spring Training. In cities such as Lakeland, Clearwater, St. Pete, Tampa, Dunedin, Sarasota the boys of summer are getting ready for the 2009 season.
This is one of the best rituals of spring, where people get to see some of their favorite teams and players tune themselves up for the forthcoming grind of (162) games. This is also a time when media writers and fans pay close attention, waiting for off season moves or just hoping their favorite player resumes where he left off last year.

We finally got our (virtual) Matt Treanor bobblehead. Check it out.
Chip and I are trying to decide whether we should push for our mugs to be on a Sportstalk “60″ bobblehead or a dart board. How about helping us to decide.
A great game the other night at the “Joe”. Another Wings victory, and something you dont see very often … a FIGHT… Marian Hossa decided to mix things up a little, good thing he didnt get hurt.
Baseball is definitely in the air again.
John and I are getting excited, waiting to see some great Tiger baseball this year. I’m looking for a much better outcome this season.
Can’t wait for the smell of the hot dogs, the smell of the newly cut grass, and the crack of the bat… and you can get that all in one place… COMERICA PARK!
The air is breezy with temperatures in the near sixties, the sun is shining in the sky and there’s not a cloud in sight….
On the field they’re wearing white uniform’s with an Old English D. Yes, that could only mean one thing. Spring training has begun.
