True on that john, Any kicker in the NFL should be accurate and automatic at 40 yds. Over 50 is a great kicker. I felt bad for kickers lst season especiially Kaeding from San Diego on his playoff performance. I have also heard you talk about how the lions can’t make it to the 30 yd line for a good kicker like Hanson to boot 3 FG’s a game.i

Well james that is an interesting question. I think they both have the leg strength. I think on the most part NFL kickers are the same. If they didnt have the leg to kick 40 + yard FG’s they wouldnt be in the biz . Although Pete had a 59 yard FG , I do not recall if Hanson ever attempted one in a game, but he has kicked over 50 yards. I think they are evenly matched. I was a huge Jets fan and Dolphins fan myself. i was originally from Florida and rooted for both teams. He was an accurate kicker.
