Greetings one and all!
Sports Talk 60 was thrilled to participate in the opening festivities of the Southgate Rotary’s Pre-Superbowl bash at the holiday Inn in Southgate on Saturday. Proceeds from the event were slated to benefit the YMCA childrens fund.
Chip and I challenged everyone in attendance with trivia prior to dinner and an auction. Great prizes from “Fanatic U” were given out as well as certificates from “Pro Golf” and “Ball & Cue & Brew”.
We also gave out our new run of Sports Talk 60 shirts. We had a great time, and would like to thank everyone who played sports trivia with us.

Is everybody as ready for playoff football as I am? The superbowl is just weeks away with lots going on. The Sports Talk 60 crew will be in Southgate on Jan 30th for a pre Superbowl bash that will benefit a charity.
At the “No Child Without a Christmas” fundraiser we held December 3rd at “Jake’s Again”, a Sports Talk 60 package was auctioned off that included a day in the studio with the Sports Talk 60 crew. We are looking forward to working with the winner of our “in studio” guest spot on January 22nd.
I haven’t mentioned my career as an actor recently, so I’ll just let you know that I am polishing up my acting by taking a workshop in Royal Oak that features Bill Marinella from Los Angeles. This workshop is filled with some talented people and Bill is working us hard and giving us the benefit of his great knowledge in this field. I just cant believe he chose the playoff’s to do it in; those Californians.

On January 4th of 2010 the mystery of the missing webmaster was solved. Roger (our famed webmaster) had the audacity to make a trip to Tennessee on a family vacation. I guess that was good for Chip because no one went at him for the challenge as Chip struggled the last two weeks. Because we kept more prizes than we lost; maybe for the playoffs Chip will offer a “Playoff Challenge” for all of you out there.
I hope everyone had a great holiday season and that you are ready for 2010. On April 11th, 2010, we will mark the end of two seasons for ST60 and a third will begin. Hard to believe that we have been on the air for two years. Our thanks to each and everyone of you. We are thinking that the ST60 crew should have a hugh Birthday Bash, because words can’t express how much our listeners and sponsors mean to us.
Remember to tune in Friday and we’ll see ya there.
