Plymouth Puts a Sting on Sarnia
Last night Chip and I covered the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) Plymouth Whalers as they defeated the Sarnia Sting 5-3 at the Compuware arena.
Sportstalk 60 even purchased a foam puck for the “Chuck-a-Puck” event during the second intermission. It seems a youth hockey team from Farmington was selling them and Connor and his mom put the squeeze on us. The proceeds help buy the kids uniforms and cover expenses, so we hope you had a great night Conner.
The Whalers and their staff entertained us with some great intermission events andĀ gave away shirts, gift certificates and other items. If you have never been to a Plymouth Whaler hockey game we suggest that you put it on your todo list.
The next game is Friday, January 30th against the Windsor Spitfires. Come root for your future NHL stars of tomorrow.

Hey Ken
Alot of players come out of the OHL. Right now the team London has John Tavaries. He will be the number one player to go next. Ex-wing Dino Cicareeli is a product of Sarnia Sting I believe and the Whalers have a few guys comitted to the Carolina Hurricanes. Thanks for the post.
