Fernando, its john (not Tom). was my pleasure. I enjoyed Aiden's company and his interview. Your right with Otto and the many players that are role models. When they are on the ice they have a job to do. When they are off the ice they become the role models that mold the little ones. Hope to see ya at another Wings victory. hehehe. thanks for the post. tell Aiden hello for me.

Tom. Thanks for spending time with my son (even though he was rooting for Dallas). He was pretty excited about being interviewed and never in a million years thought it would be published. He is a great kid and loves hockey. I need to thank Otter for letting Aidan hang out at practice and letting him hang out once again after the game. Steve Ott does an outstanding job of being a "pest" on the ice but people do not see the real side...a good humble person (thanks to his parents). Maybe we will see you agian at the next Dallas game. Later. Fernando

Great show tonight. Another coool blog. Thats cool that you took the time and talked with the kid. I have seen media guys at games and most of them don't speak to anyone but the players or each other yet make time for a little kid. I tried to call the show tonight but could'nt get through. Keep up the good work and looking forward to Tiger baseball also. That Matt Treanor thing gets funnier and funnier each time I hear it.

Mr. Gilbert
Thanks for the post. and kind words. He was really excited to be there and I am glad I could catch that last night. No matter the troubles in this world with the economy, gas prices, politics, job layoffs and only 2 red wings making the All-star team ,it is good to sit and reflect with a little one who has no worries. It takes away all the troubles and brings ya back to a happy place. Maybe kids should run the world. You have a great grandson and I am sure you are proud of him. Steve Ott is another who deserves a kudo for what he did. Those players are great role models.

Your conversation capped off a great day for the young man. Thanks to Steve Ott he enjoyed the day at the Stars and Red Wings practice and then of course enjoyed the game. I know he was delighted to talk with you and will always remember it. I know this because he's my grandson. Thanks again
