Could Spring be Getting Closer?
I saw a Robin today…Yes, I did. Somehow this bird made an appearance in the middle of January.
Also, it was Tigerfest today at Comerica Park and all week the Detroit Tigers have been doing the winter Caravan.
With Spring training less than three weeks away, could it be that this Robin got the jump on everyone and flew North in anticipation of the 2009 baseball season? Down at the COPA today, in the media room, Chip and I had access to the players while they were waiting to go to their designated signing areas. The media people were hanging out, watching tv, typing away on their labtops to get the story in or just talking about the upcoming 2009 season.
I talked to Pitcher Nate Robertson on his thoughts about this season and there is no doubt the Tigers and Nate have to put 2008 behind them. Our newest Tiger catcher Matt Treanor also spoke with me and said he was glad to be here.
I can almost hear the sound of crowds cheering, bats exploding and seeing smiles on all the faces both young and old.
Go Tigers!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS sireeeeeee hello spring and Tiger baseball. Thats cool you got the inside scoop, getting to chat with the players. You got a great gig. How do I get that. lKeep up the good work on the show.

Tiger Fest was GREAT! My family got a special tour thru the press box from CHIP AND JOHN and laughed the whole time. We got thrown out too!! Every Tiger we saw looked good and sounded ready to play ball putting the last 2 seasons behind them. Hopefully everything goes good!

hmm hmmm I wouldnt say we got kicked out. We did circumvent around the tour, Saved ya from standing in line for an hour and really the only problem was from one grumpy usher who was eating a hot dog thinking he had some power when the real tour guide didnt even mind. It was our pleasure to personally give ya a tour. Maybe the Tigers should of hired Chip and myself to do the press box tours. We would of gave everyone a smile and a little fun. Hope you enjoyed. Its good to have friends in low places.
Thanks for the post
